Myrtle E. Templeton

	Myrtle E. Templeton, age 89, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 3, 2004, in the Skilled Care Unit of the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Mrs. Templeton was born on January 8, 1915, in Wayne City, IL, a daughter of Joseph C. and Mamie (Yates) Talbert. She was united in marriage to Thomas Louis Templeton on June 19, 1938, in Wayne City, IL. Mrs. Templeton taught at the Pinckneyville Grade School and Pinckneyville High School, where she served as the librarian. She was a Ruling Elder of the First United Presbyterian Church of Pinckneyville. She was a member of the Illinois Library Association, American Association of University Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, Daughters of the American Revolution, Perry County Home Extension, Pinckneyville Women's Club, and was also a past member of the Pinckneyville Library Board. She loved reading and traveling, was an enthusiastic walker and enjoyed spending time with a wide circle of friends.
	Survivors include her husband Louis of Pinckneyville, three daughters: Leah Engelhardt of Stillwater, OK, Louise Schweizer and husband Lewis of Pinckneyville, and Helena DeWulf and husband Gerald of Kirkwood, MO, four grandchildren: Julia Engelhardt and husband Mark Berry of St. Louis, MO, Tom Schweizer and wife Angela of Springfield, MO, Tim Schweizer, wife Melanie and son Ethan of Ballwin, MO, and Michael DeWulf of Kirkwood, MO, and one niece: Kathy Hackmann and husband William of Moscow Mills, MO.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
	Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2004, at the First United Presbyterian Church in Pinckneyville, with Rev. Byron York officiating. Interment was in the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Sunday evening, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m.
	Memorials may be made to the Pinckneyville Public Library or the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit.
